All my friends take the mickey out of me for my diet, and say that i am far too healthy.
NEVER ear crisps, chocolate, carbs, fat....and i also exercise ALOT!!

I started doing this a few months ago, as i needed to lose a few pounds, although when i went to my doc he said that i didnt need to and wanted me to see a dietition, but i know i am not as slim as i would like.

I just cant bear the thought of being over weight, i am 5'7 and weight is 7'12.....
Recently my friend had a chat with me and said that a few of my friends were concerned about how much weight i had lost, and asked if i had an eating disorder....

I dont think i do, but what do you think?

It seems you have good friends because they worry for you!

The weight you mention is not overweight for your size, it is even on the lower side.

Checking with a doctor your present diet could help you if you are doing something wrong, and to calm every bodies concern.

Keep on eating healthy. Which means quality food and in the amount you need according to the amount of calories you burn do to exercise, lifestyle, etc.

A treat every once in a while will not hurt you, so do have them if you feel like having them, every once in a while.

I would not worry so much about weight as you are far from over weight, I would lead a healthy life with healthy eating habits, getting enough food for what you do, and keep on exercising.

I think so, but this is coming from someone who also has one. you do seem below normal body weight and want to loose more, which is a warning sign that ur over doing the diet thing. Also over exercising can be a form of disorded eating...feeling like you have to burn off all the calories you eat.. i went through this and actually passed out a few times because of it. You are also now being sick after food...you didn't say whether this was self induced or happened naturally, both are not good. Bulimia is a hard thing to stop once you get caught up in it and if your body is "naturally" rejecting what you eat, thats deffinately not good, go back to your doctor, dietician, school counsellor...someone you trust and discuss your concerns! You maybe fine but you seem to be giving off strong warning signs of at least developing an eating disorder.

You can never be 'far too healthy'. Being healthy is a big issue and i'm glad you're one of the individuals listening to the government and paying attention to your body. However, it is natural to not be able to bear the thought of being overweight, i'm sure everyone feels like that at some stage.
If you're exercising excessively and feel that you have to to burn of calories, maybe it's time to see a doctor. If your periods have stopped and you're getting constipation and heart paltipations, you should definetely see your doctor. You could become infertile and have a heart attack, which can come on Suddenly.
But to be honest with you, from your description you don't sound to me as if you have an eating disorder, but i do feel you need to eat a tiny bit more a day to maintain your current weight. If you hardly eat anything at all, then please think about seeing a dietician or a doctor who will be able to help you gain a bit more weight. It's so important and it could save your life.

ok first of all its good to cut out junk food, but your body needs a certain amount of carbs and certain types of fat (there are good fats and bad fats) if you have insufficient carbs your body will start to break down the protein from your muscles in order to create energy for your body to use. This means that although you will lose weight (as muscle weighs more than fat) you will lose your muscle tone and will never look completely toned, this one reason why people who starve themselves always think they are still fat, because they have lost all their muscle tone. It is much better to have a healthy amount of carbs AND eat lots of protein and continue with your exercise (with a healthy diet) and you will look toned and slim. Your weight is a concern though, you are very light and should DEFINATELY not lose any more weight, it may be a a good idea to see a dietician, they're not gonna want to make you fat, just give you pointers on what to eat so you can be slim AND healthy. Give it a shot. Good luck and please dont go down the slippery slope of anorexia/bulimia, i have done myself in the past and its just not a good idea trust me. xxx

No, doesnt sound like a disorder. Sounds like you are just eating healthier. When was chocolate, carbs, fat, and chips etc ever good for you? None of us should really be eating that stuff. As long as your eating healthy foods- then that is not a problem. Good for you.

This is really only a question you can answer. Different weights are healthy for different people, as are different levels of exercise. You've got to ask yourself if you - honestly - think you might be taking things too far. If you want more information and links to lots of places you can get support, please see:

7st 12 is underweight for your height, I certainly wouldn't advise losing any more. However, if you're happy with your weight and you look good then there's no problem - it's when you look in the mirror and think you look fat (when you're obviously not) that there could be a problem. As for your friends, it's good they're showing concern and it's most likely genunine, but there could be touch of the green eyed monster somewhere! Just be careful you're not on a downward spiral.

you are definitely underweight. for your height you should be 10 stone 3
you need to stop exercising so much and start to eat more
you are putting your health at risk and a big strain on your heart
start eating more carbs.
you can still eat healthy food but you need to eat more filling stuff.
please see your doctor.

It does sound like you have a problem to be honest with you. Your friends are concerned and noticing changes, go and speak to the nurse at your doctors surgery, she can advise you where to go to get help and support.

You are already underweight for your height. The fact that you can't see this but others are concerned is a definite warning sign. sounds like you have a problem.
