No don't get rid of it. This is normal behavior for a cat. Keep them separated except when you can be around to supervise and make sure one cat doesn't hurt the other. Your cat will accept the new one in time. At least all the cats I have had did. Just tell your cat to lose the attitude or you will get rid of him.jk Just shower him with lots of love whenever the new cat is around. He's just jealous so try and get him over it. Good luck!!

Read the articles on introducing cats. You're going to need to start over and do it properly. Some cats will take to each other easily and with no special guidance by you, but most cats are territorial and resist change, so they need some special treatment during this time, and should be exposed to one another slowly and with positive reinforcement.
Even once you've done the introduction, you can still expect some fights now and then. Even cats raised together still get into squabbles. Einstein is probably going to be dominant, and any time that feels threatened he's going to put the new cat in it's place. This is normal and acceptable, you have to let them determine who is alpha, just keep an eye on them, make sure no one is getting seriously hurt. For a while you may still want to keep them seperate when you aren't home, until you feel comfortable that they get along ok.

No, don't get rid of the other cat. Consider this: if someone were to move into your house that you didn't ask to move in, how would you feel? Probably get an attitude at first. But if that person was like you after some time you would probably start to get along. Give it a little time. Things will be fine.

cats are very territorial . The right way to introduce a new cat to the family is to keep them separated in different rooms. Then gradually let them get to know each other. It takes time, and patience. It also matters if the cats are of different sex. You do not have to get rid of the new cat, however, you need to allow the cats to gradually get to know each other over time. It also helps if the cats are fixed.

I agree with KitKat . . . cats are not disposable. If you had a child and then had another one who didn't get along with the first, you wouldn't "get rid of" your second child. I have cats who do not get along, but when I rescued them I committed myself to caring for them for the rest of their lives. Eventually they just claimed a particular part of the house as their own and keep to their own space for the most part.

Get rid of? Cats are not disposable. It takes time for cats to get used to eachother.
