You know, I'm not really a drinker, i just want to try it, to see what it will taste like. What is good for someone who doesn't drink often? I've had beer and don't like it, of the 4 cans I've tried, it just doesn't have a good taste.

I'm in college, would it be wrong to get my roommate to buy me something, so I could try it. I would do it on a saturday, in my dorm room, I wouldn't be going out or driving. Nothing stupid.

So what are some good drinks, that taste good and can you list the average price.

I'm not a go out to the bar type of person, so don't say go out to the bar.

I would have to say that a a screwdriver is a typical first (orange juice and vodka) Or a Cranberry/vodka. Vodka mixed with a fruit juice are good beginner drinks because there easy to make and there not that bad.

Perhaps you SHOULD go to a bar (with a designated driver of coarse). You can see what folks in your area are drinking, an d can try them. It also gives you an excuse to socialize.
Another thought, what do you like in general? If you have a sweet tooth, there are all kinds of sweet alcoholic drinks you can try. My Fav is Rum and Pepsi.
I'm not really a wine drinker myself, but you could find a local winery, and do a wine tasting tour. I do like beer though, and there are bars in my area you can get literally hundreds of different types. Just because you may have had a crappy beer doesn't mean all bear is the same.

If your room mate has to go out and buy it..you shouldn't be drinking. Also drinking alone in a dorm room can become quite a depressing feeling,.... but... if having a few friends over...make sure you don't drink too much (since you don't drink) or you could passs out and again..that would Not be a good thing.
As a beginner drink, as you put it...perhaps have one or 2 only vodka coolers ..dif. flavours..
but again I would suggest not drinking. But tis your choice. (for a case of 4 is just under $10.00

It's not a bad thing to not drink. If you're going to try something, you'd probably like something sweet and simple like kahlua and cream or a daiquiri where you don't really get a strong alcohol taste
