How do you know it wasn't written, say in the fifteenth century (Doesn't have to be this date, just picked out one), just to inspire false hopes, all written meticulously by some cruel man?
Can you PROVE to me that all of this was written in sequence, that the prohpets predicted Jesus's birth, life, and death before he was born?
Can you PROVE to me that it all really did happen?
Can you do it WITHOUT citing verses from the Bible? I could pick out verses from the say, The Lord of the Rings, and say they really happened, but to say they did is a little farfatched without anything from outside the book itself.
If you cannot prove this, can you provide information that discredits the Bible?
If it's not from a credible source, it will be ignored.

Thank you, AnArdRi, for being the sole person who actually tried (and to some degree did) answer the question.
I asked for proof, and all I got was "I believe."
I am a Christian myself, but where are we if we believe by faith alone? Why should anyone believe this? Simply saying "I believe" isn't going to win any converts.
It's Christians such as these that make Christianity a turn-off. If you want rude, don't pretend to be a Christian! Stop this hypocritical nonsense!

There is a book called "The Bible Unearthed" which examines the archaeology of the Biblical lands and the text of the Bible and arrives at the hypothesis that the Bible was compiled in the 7th Century BCE during the reign of King Josiah.
I would recommend you have a look at it.

What do you want,a autograph?You haven't done any investigation.There are a lot archeology books talking about documation proof.Why do you want proof?It would do no good.Here is a example in history.A Roman soldier was writting back to his captian.He spoke of Jesus raising the dead.People saw the dead raise.Yet people didn't believe.An of about the writtings about Moses.Shall I go on?I shall.How about modern days.I have seen footage.Where a lady how had her spine severed.They showed the x-ray.God told her she would walk.An I saw her walk.There have been cases of people with aids,spastic epilepsy...etc who are just fine.But I bet that I can read your mind.IT IS ALL A LIE.Point made.You don't want proof.You want to rationalize YOUR FAITH.God loves you,even if you don't care.An that is something you can't change.

No. There is no proof. There are parts of it that the author is still unknown. It has been discovered that throughout time parts of it has been rewritten by Kings who had their own ideas. But there is also the fact that no part of it has even been disproved.
If the bible or any other religious document explaining the beginning and end of the world was ever proven to be 100% true, we wouldn't have to discuss it on Y! answers now would we :)

you will never get an answer to that question. its because you want god to prove himself real so you will believe in him. God sent down jesus and the wonderful things he did was proof enough that he is real. the only real proof you will ever get is to read the bible, understand and believe it, and then see how your life changes. Then you will know that the Bible is real, without anyone having to tell you.
p.s. do you know your comparing the lord of the rings with the Bible? maybe thats why you have so many questions.

No. the bible isn't gods word for numerous motives. a million.) No god exist. 2.)neither god nor jesus wrote one word. no longer one word. no longer one word.3.)luke, paul and matthew did no longer write it the two.4.) the bible is allegory 5.) the bible has a lot of astrology in it. 5.0 faith isn't something yet sunlight worship more advantageous.

I have faith that the Bible is the word of God.
Just as I have faith that if I gave you my address, you couldn't come to visit me because I live too close to a school and you'd need to register with local law enforcement.
