MSG in Food causes developmental problems in unborn and young children. So, maybe MSG also causes Autism? Maybe that's why the rate of defects in children is so high today? They are now saying that MSG causes memory issues with adults too. MSG sounds more dangerous than alcohol or drugs. I'm not eating any more food with MSG, and our wonderful GOVT. should ban the chemical NOW. What do you think?

MSG (Mono Sodium Glutamate) is used as a flavour-enhancer in many foods but is also a toxin which damages nerves, particularly during development. Developing foetuses and young children are especially vulnerable to MSG, even in relatively small doses.

Adults are less susceptible to the effects of MSG because adult nerves have stopped developing and growing. Nevertheless, MSG is still toxic in larger amounts.

MSG is frequently used in quite high amounts in Japanese and Chinese food and there is a recognised effect called "Chinese Restaurant Syndrome" which results from eating too much MSG - the symptoms are dehydration, headaches and sometimes blurred or distorted vision. In larger amounts you may see dizziness, fainting or even lapsing into coma. In Japan, about 5 people a year actually die from eating too much MSG.

Should it be banned? I'm always reluctant to advocate yet another law to substitute for good old fashioned common sense. If people stopped buying food with MSG in it then there would be no need for a ban.

Supposedly MSG is the coating on KFC. Not only that but sugar is bad for you, but it's in all processed. Too much salt is bad, but it is in all processed foods. High fructose corn syrup is bad, but in many foods. Aluminum byproducts in cake mixes and they're bad for you. The vaccines they give us are linked to autism and many other diseases, because of the mercury in them. People in Asia don't have anywhere near the diseases we do, but they don't eat this crap and they don't drink dairy. They look at cheese as rotted milk. So you can see the poor countries have governments that don't allow their citizens to eat crap. This is the same government that demands that you wear a seatbelt, because they are concerned about you. The same government that starts a war with a country that can't defend themselves and they bomb women and children. The next time a pig cop stops you, you should ask him why do they enforce the seatbelt law and he'll say, because he's concerned about you. Tell him you have a puss pocket around your anus and if he's concerned maybe he could suck out the puss.
