My wife wont get up and do any exercising. She says cause shes tired from work and just comes home everynight and sits on her butt. But her job is sitting on her butt all day ( computer job). She is not motivated and she is getting bigger and I wanna get her interested in exercises. I seen an infomercial were all you do is crunch your muscles for 7 minutes a day and it helps lose weight and firm muscles. I can even get her to do that.I thought about crushing some energy pills and slipping it into her food . Kinda like gving a dog or cat their medicine. What can I do or say to motivate her?

If she says she's tired, she is. Why? Because her job is unfulfilling and she is depressed, probably due to her job and also recognizing how heavy she has become. She notices her weight every time she gets out of the shower, every time she is in front of a mirror, every time someone mentions dieting, and every time she's watching telly.

Go for walks together, especially if you have a pet. Does she like gardening? It takes a lot of energy (walking) going to different nurseries. My point is, show her kindness and love, and she will feel that and want to change herself for the better. Mainly, don't put pressure on her. All it takes is positive reinforcement and a positive enviroment and she should start taking more interest in her appearance. If her diet changes, yours should too.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

If the food recommendations from the vet are working, definitely continue with that. As far as toys that will help, that really all depends on your cat's personal preference. My three cats all love to play, but their tastes vary greatly. The oldest will only play with a feathered toy. The middle will only play with fuzzy toys. The youngest will only play with laser pointers. Consider what your cat enjoys, or try a little of everything. Her age is definitely a factor in why she's slowing down, but even her rolling over and playing on her back is a start. You can't expect her to get up and run a kitty marathon right away =) Let her build up to it.

Try giving her positive reinforcement instead of putting her down. I'm willing to bet a little exercise wouldn't hurt you either and losing weight is always easier when you have a buddy to do it with. PS Any claim that starts "as easy as" is just going to lead to disappointment. Spend the money on a gym membership for her, not a pill or a gimmick.

Do you ever offer to exercise with her? She might feel more motivated to do something if she feels you'll be there to support her and not just expect her to do it alone. Cause it makes it so much easier when you have an exercise partner. You guys also may want to change your diets and eat healthier foods. so what if you may not need to lose any weight. Monkey see, Monkey do, right? If she See's your eating healthy and exercising, than she'll do the same. Hopefully. good luck

Lead by example. You might not need to get out for a walk to loose weight, but what could it hurt. I'm a lot shorter than my husband, therefore he isn't overweight and I am. On Valentines day, we both took the day off and had physicals done. The rest of the day was time just spent together (dinner, movie, diamonds). Having an outsider tell me I needed to loose it and a love one there to say, I'll help, got me motivated as well as we spend 30-40 minutes together as we walk or ride bikes. We just got back to basics, spending time together.
