It means one of two things:
(1) You chose to marry a bad man.
(2) There are needs of his that you are not satisfying, so someone else is.
That your concern is his "emotional involvement" suggests that the answer in #2.
Bad men do not get emotionally involved with the women they ****, and have a tendency to be promiscuous (i.e. Bill Clinton).
On the other hand, it would take an almost superhuman effort for a good man to resist a woman who is willing to satisfy his emotional, sexual and physical needs--and if that woman isn't you, he's vulnerable to the poaching of a woman who is.
