When you are watching tv with a guy, your boyfriend, and he puts his hand on your leg or knee, does he want you to hold his hand or does he just want to be close to you?

When us guys start watching sports on tv we sometimes forget about the girl sitting next to us.
So, when the guy puts his hand on your knee or leg he's asuring you, letting you know he hasn't forgotten about you and he's glad you're there.
So yeah... its the guy simply wanting to be close to you.
You can even slide over and put your arm around his and your head on his shoulder.. you know, romantic stuff like that.

I can't speak for another guy but when I did this it was a little of both, mostly being close but also hand holding, I loved it when my girlfriend and I would curl up together on the couch and watch movies until we fell asleep in each others arms.

He isn't looking for you to hold his hand. He wants to be close. He is also testing the water for moving hands to other destinations sometimes. He seems to respect you, and wants to make sure his moves wont frighten you away. Always be mindful that you leg is more a no no spot than your hand.

He may be trying to initiate a sexual encounter. It is also possible that he is just imitating what he saw someone else do with their girlfriend or he might not be thinking about you at all. You should talk to him and find out his feelings for you before you let him put his hand anywhere on your body and do not ASSUME the meaning of such behavior on his part. Get to know him by conversation. Ask him what you need to know.

Try holding his hand. But it could be either. If you're watching a movie, he likely wants to hold your hand.

At times it depends if you guys are really close, sometimes you can repsond with a kiss on the cheek, playing with his hands or something... Just to make him feel like he ain't alone or you enjoy the movie as well...
