Tribble Macher - do your research before you discredit the Holy Prophet Muhammed (saw) - if you found out the actual facts then you would not post false information.

Wrong...wrong...wrong !
Both sides are wrong!, why we even discuss matters like this?
People "wake-up", these books was written ages ago, ....in a time when, the sword was as powerful as the pen. It was more a way of survival that violence, had to be mentioned in these books. If not mentioned, the people at that time wouldn't been able to understand what to do, and know how these books could give them guidance.
Therefore its wrong by Christians to mention, quotes, and see this as a violent path. But this go both ways. Stop interpret Old books, and read them sentence by sentence, and follow them....Use your intellect and "translate" the old meanings into focus of what is accomplish able today. Read the old books like this, no-matter what religion, and if you interpret it, you will see that they still can be of guidance, if you add a little of today's norms, and intellect. And why do books like this give room for violent acts ?........ Cause of the fanatics, that choose to follow the actually text, NOT interpret it , to be of today norm. So don't say all Christians, or all Muslims, or whatever............Say SOME FANATICS, the fanatics are the scary ones, no matter what religion they belief in.

Oh come on everyone knows the truth that Islam and the Qur’an is a mere 1,400 year old badly re written version of the 2,000 year old Christian religion! Whilst imitation is said to be the sincerest form of flattery no imitation can ever be better than the original What is more the Islamic violence goes right back to a dispute over who had spiritual authority over the Muslim community after the death of the prophet Muhammad in what is called the “fitna” which translates as temptation or trial and caused all the discord within Muslim community. Shi’ite Muslims believe that authority was vested in his family; the Sunnis look to the sayings and actions of Muhammad as well as the Koran. The extreme sectarian violence has been brought about by Al-Qaeda Which while being exclusively Sunni deliberately set Shi’ites and Sunnis to kill each other in Iraq. Sadly more Muslims die by Muslim hands each month than were killed by the invading forces in the war! Hamas also kills far more Muslims than the Israelis ever have! An average of over thirty five Muslims a week were being killed by Muslims but in the last few years it has frequently been over a hundred a week! Whether it is a Danish Cartoon, book of fiction , a snippet of film or some other excuse, Muslims hit the streets around the world rioting, looting, burning and uttering death threats! Nearly all the Muslim countries are seeing Muslims attack Muslims destroying homes, businesses, infrastructure and targeting women and children particularly showing the extremists must surely be trying to turn Muslims into primitives living in caves and mud huts so they can be controlled more easily! The murders in London and Paris clearly demonstrate that the extremists are winning in turning Muslims into primitive savages! All that is required for evil to triumph over good is for good men to do nothing Evil can triumph only if good men do nothing – Edmund Burke So if you want Islam to be a religion of peace what are you going to do about it?!

There are many verses in the Bible that are violent. In Genesis when Moses led the freed slaves out of Egypt and into the promised land , the promised land was occupied but the Lord gave the Jews victory over their enemy's. There are many more instances like this, but when Jesus was born and eventually died for our sins He created a new covenant. He taught us to love one another and treat our neighbor as we would want to be treated. The Quran has no new covenant so all the olden rules (eye for an eye) still apply. I'm sorry but in this world we live in today you just can't hold to those same beliefs. The very first Muslim I ever met was from Turkey. A true Muslim as he refered to himself in comparison to American Muslims. We spent a lot of time debating religion and his beliefs were very radical. He said that jihad is the true nature of the Muslim faith and I just can not agree with that type of thinking. Any religion that teaches people that its alright to kill people just because they dont share your beliefs is no religion at all.

This is the Old Testament, meaning this was written by priests and such, some believe and take it to heart others think some of this was used so that the priest could feel power full, I believe in God,and Jesus, I have a lot of problems with some of the writings in the bible although, many are inspiring.
I kinda get the meaning that back in the Old Testament times, you Did what God said, even if you had to take you own life, so this is great that he sent him self down in the form of man to see how we actually feel.

This is to answer the first part of your question (Ezekiel 9:4-6) Then the Lord called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing kit at his side and said to him, "Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it. ***In other words God told the man with the writing kit to put a mark on those who were "faithful" to God. Their faithfulness was determined by their sensitivity to and sorrow over their "nations" sin. Those with the mark were spared when six guards from the city (Jerusalem) began to destroy the wicked people. ***You need to read the passages before & after (Ezekiel 9:4-6) to understand the entire text and its meaning.*** Here is my response to (Deuteronomy 20: 13-14) When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies. ****In these passages God ordered Their destruction in order to protect his people from idol worship, which was certain to bring ruin to Israel(20-18). In fact, because Israel did not completely destroy these evil people as God commanded, Israel was constantly oppressed by them and experienced greater bloodshed and destruction than if they had followed God's instructions in the first place.**** (Deuteronomy 28:53) Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you.****You have to refer to other texts to fully understand this passage...for example--(Jeremiah 19-9) - I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will eat one anothers flesh during the stress of the siege imposed on them by the enemies who seek their lives.*** In 586 B.C. during the Babylonian invasion under King Nebuchadnezzar, and in A.D. 70 when Titus destroyed Jerusalem, food became so scarce that people became cannibals. ( Also see Leviticus 26:29, Deut. 28:53-57 for prophecies concerning this and 2 Kings 6:28,29; Lamentations 2:20; 4:10. To sum this up, all of this horrible tradgedy could have been avoided, but because of their stubborn rebellion against God, they had brought great suffering to all, especially to the innocent. The fault of this was not God's but consequences of the people who brought this destruction upon themselves through idolatry and disobedience to the Lord.***** I hope this clarifys some of the questions in reference to the Bible.

That has always been the way! Find the meaning in any religious book, that can be used to promote 'your' own version/belief in a faith/religion - it is easy to quote passages and texts from these books to twist, manipulate and deform the actual meanings. The reality is that these 'books' were meant as a guideline to living a life with a moral code, that was good, peaceful, fair, just and loving.

Because God teaches...Love the Lord God with all your heart, all your strength, and all your mind"....and love your neighbor as yourself". He doesn't teach to hate and kill everyone who doesn't believe like you do.
And God's plan gave everyone a free choice to believe and be saved...or believe not and you are condemned already.
The verses you are "picking out" concern when God was helping His own people, Israel fight against their enemies....who were idol worshipers...and yes ...God wiped them out....and told them how to fight and He was pretty ruthless in his justice on all those who hated Him....which might be a good reminder today...that He loves us, and wants us to choose to love Him...but there is a day coming when judgment will be swift and sure for all those who have chosen not to believe on His Son. The bible says "the demons know Him, and tremble..." He loves us, but He also punishes sin...and He provided a way out thru His Son....
the quran teaches to wipe out everyone who does not accept what they believe....and they are upfront about it. Those who deny it teaches that, are not paying attention. They want total Muslim faith...nothing else.
The Christians, however know God says "choose this day, whom you will serve"....He never forces anyone to believe.

Muslims here have admitted that even if we show them how many more muslims die in natural disasters than nonmuslims, and even if we show them the truth from secular history about the shames in islam and muhammad, and even if we show them the quotes and verses from the bible to tell them that it denounces muhammad, and even if we say that muhammad is a pedophile for having sex with a 9 year old infant girl, THEY WILL NOT BE SHAKEN FROM ISLAM!
OKAY, FINE... point taken okay?
My question is. Then what does that make you (muslim)?
Regular Humans or a Lunatics?
Please do not think this is an insulting question but realise that this question is a result of many of the answers and admissions you muslims have provided here. I can link you up with many of them (eg. Leah & Perception etc etc etc).

How about we all just stop pointing fingers at each other in some ridiculous blame game and try to figure out how to stop those who take the violent passages of any religion to heart and hurt others?
