Ok, to all the old guys over 40 I'm going to let you in on a little secret. We girls think it's gross when you old farts try to talk to us. It's like having my dad see my naked and that is just gross. We are sick and tired of all these balding old guys thinking their still 20 or something. Stop it, stick to girls your own age. It's creepy and somewhat bordering on being a child molester.
To all my girls out there, you know what I'm talking about.

I will be 56 in a few days and am more youthful than most 35 year olds I know. I just took this picture yesterday. So, what on Earth are you talking about? Anyway, I would never hit upon a 20 something woman, or any age for that matter. They never liked me when I was in my 20's, and they won't like me now in my 50's. But, someday when you are over 40, you will wish that men over 40 are interested in you. Maybe you sense that deep inside, and that is why they offend you so much. Also, I once knew a 60 something guy who dated 20 something women regularly. He was a brilliant psychologist, and the young women were fascinated by him. Now he is married to one, and they are doing fine.

Looking at your question, you say it's gross for guys over 40 to "talk" to you .
Since when is talking to someone perverse and gross?
Is it gross if I say "good morning" to you? or ask you how your day has been?
Did it ever occur to you that maybe some of these guys are just looking for conversation?
Or are you so ravishing that of course ALL men that "talk" to you want to sleep with you?
I have seen many 40+ men AND WOMEN have relationships with people in their 20s, so what?
Don't get me wrong, I see your point of 40 year olds hitting on girls in their 20s, and I tend to agree.
But I also have seen girls in their 20s sit and flirt with 40 year olds all night long, as they drink and eat for free on his bar tab too.
It's all a matter of personal preferance, many woman in their 20s appreciate the maturity and stabilaty of a man in his 40s, others are not interested.
I guess just starting a conversation with a woman is a come on by your description.
I guess when you turn 40, you will not have conversations with people under 40, nor will you find any men in their 20s attractive anymore either.

You are young and naive now. Just wait, 40 will be here before you know it. I agree that men over 40 shouldn't be chasing after 18 year olds, but the reason they do it is because a lot of these 18 yr olds make them think it's OK. Look at some of the stars like Jared Letto. He's pushing 40 and he still dates very young women. But nobody questions that. To me your problem with them hitting on you isn't their age, but how they look and a lot of men don't look old at 40. 40 doesn't mean over weight and bald.

40 isn't old at all but, it is too old to be hitting on young girls in their 20's. Mostly it is probably a mid life crisis, it makes them feel young again or maybe they are going back to a time when they were smooth with the ladies and it makes them feel good. I am over 40 and I don't feel like I am old at all-but I am much smarter than I was when I was in my 20's. Be nice to people you could learn something.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being single... I am just a little older then you and have only had one serious boyfriend. I am waiting for the right guy. Being single just shows that you are a strong person. Simply be your self, be confident in your self and you will find the right friends and boyfriend. Your crush on your teacher will most likely pass. Im not sure how to stop other then realize he is probably not the guy for you being that he is a lot older then you. I hope I helped. By the way, Chat rooms are really unsafe and it would be very wise if you stay off them. Find good things to do in your neighborhood and volunteer to help others.

Gmomma's got it right! Most young ladies won't understand until they are older. Also, girls are looking a lot older than they really are so that may add to the 'creepiness' factor. Parents need to keep their daughters away from the M.A.C. counter!
Age ain't nothing but a number though. There are plenty of younger men who date 'older' women and that doesn't even raise an eyebrow. So if dating an 'older' person isn't up your alley, politley refuse and move on...just as you would someone your own age.

lol I work with a 50 year old who thinks every 20 something girl in the company wants him.. First time I met him I throught he was a peditfile. He even has STUD painted on his truck.
The guy even had the balls to go and hit on this 21 year old girl and then called her mother and told her he was rich and wanted to be with her daughter..talk about creepy. The girl ended up leaving the company... I have to agree. The old guys need to leave the 20 something alone. THEY DON'T WANT YOU
Only the older women want the 20 sumthing guys.

first i think you saying all girls think this, now to get down to the bress tacks . i gong to let you in a a little secery, ,, not all think the way you do, some are very nice, an being a dad, i will talk to any one, i dont care if they 5 are 100,,,,some of us old men as you put it, are only trying to be a friend an trying to tell you ,what best for you, now ...true their some out their that stalk young girls,,,, i thinik you need to re think you ?,, an by the way my wife an i have 6 kids, an a lots of kids come to us to talk to about their problem, some kids will to top a older person, for it easyer to, than to talk to their mom are dads

I've been told in most cases women mature faster than men so they speak to women that find them mature opposed to guys their own age that just want them for sex. Basically I think it's because they have been found interesting by other younger women so it makes them approach younger women. In case you are wondering I'm closer to 20's than 40's.
