Yet another computer question. I have 2 computers at the house now. One has Windows ME (which a lot of people say they havent even heard of) and the other has Windows XP. Both of these computers were given to me therefore they came with the Windows, I dont have an installation disk!! My husband needs Windows XP on the computer we use because of some classes he is taking and the need for Excel, Powerpoint and MS Word. I was wondering if there is a way to transfer XP from the old computer to the new computer?
I dont know much at all about computers, but usually with a good set of directions and a contact to ask questions I can pull thru well.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated as always!!

Excel, Word, Powerpoint are parts of the MS-Office suite and both Windows ME (Millennium Edition) & Windows XP can run the MS-Office Suite. So u just need to get hold of a MS-office CD from somewhere & install into either of your computers. All the best...just go ahead & install MS Office :)

Due to the way Windows validates it's operating system online, the only legal and safe solution for you is to buy a copy of Windows XP for each computere and install it per the enclosed instructions. While there are pirated copies of Windows XP available, there is a high probability of getting a virus or other dangerous software riding along with it. The people who are willing to pirate software are also willing to abduct your computer for thier own use, and possibly download your private information.

No way without instalation disks! But if you only need excell word and powerpoint, you don't need XP cause they are part of the office package and can be run on other versions of Windows. But also you'll need instalation cd of microsoft office in that case
