It is an anti-depressant drug used to treat a variety of mental health issues, but primarily associated with depression. The active ingredient is fluoxetine hydrochloride.
It can be found in capsules of 10, 15, 20, 40, 60 or 90 mg of active ingredient, in tablets containing 10 mg, or 20 mg or. in an oral suspension with concentration of 20 mg per 5 ml.
Although it is a widely used and popular drug, it is the centre controversy, particularly as it is seen to treat the symptons of depression without looking at the causes. Prozac for childen is also a controversial issue.

Prozac is an anti-depressant.I have taken it before but it didnt like me.Put me right on the nut ward.I was taken 20mgs a day. I got real irretable,and angry. I started to abuse my children.So I called my doctor and he told me to go to the hostipal right away.And they admitted me.It works well for some people,and others its no good.Hope I answered your questions.

Prozac is one name for the drug "Fluoxetine hydrochloride".
