Hope you can help. I am a normal 31 year old woman with no bad health in general. At the edge of my nostril i seem to have a fissure that goes up my nose on the inside. I don't do drugs or anything like that and i am at my wits end how to get rid of it. I also occasionally suffer from soreness in the corners of my mouth. It isn't cold sores as it is both sides with no build up, it just comes on and stays sore for a day before going down again.
Any ideas anyone?

Aquaphor ointment might be worth trying on your lips. Also, since the irritation on your lips is occasional it could be a contact allergic reaction. Could spicy foods or lipstick be irritating your mouth there? For the fissure, you should really have a dermatologist look at it. It might need special treatment that you can't do on your own. It will be well worth the visit. Good luck.

Well it is winter and the heat is on hee in Canada so I am guessing that you might be dry. Put some vaseline on the areas that are cut or dry. The inside of the nose is very thin skinned and can dry up very easily and crack. You might want to get a mister or humidifier for your room at night.

Hi,

I had this sfew years ago and its a vitamin / mineral defieincy, I am unsure which one now but i suggest u take a multi vitamin for a few weeks and then continue to eat a good variety of fruit and veg!

It will solve itself once your vitamins and mineral levels up again!

Until then i would keep it moisurised with some vaseiline.

Im not a doctor and dont profess to know what is wrong, but do you drink plenty of water. I know my sister gets very cracked lips and dry skin if she doesnt drink much. She doesnt drink tea or coffee, so she has to drink quite a lot of water to keep her hair and skin in good condition.
