ok 2 people are driving together in a car. One is sick so when they cough and flem comes up they spit it out the car window or person number 2 farts and smells up the whole car?

The farter! The sick person coughing up phlegm really should spit it in a tissue though. That would be a little less gross.

Probably the smell. At least the spit goes out the window.

Stinking up the car. Of couse the car won't stink up too bad since the guy spitting already has the window open (or maybe he is making to believe he has to spit to have an excuse to open the window in a polite way). That spitting guy sure is clever.

The sick person, he's almost certainly more contagious. Farts may smell bad but don't spread disease.
