The new Maxus, by a long way.

All previous models (up to Pilot and Convoy) were still essentially derivatives of the Leyland Sherpa van of the 1970s.
The Pilot was a facelift of the 200, which was itself a facelift fo the Sherpa. The Convoy was a facelift of the 400, which was a wider, longer van derived from the Sherpa-based 200.

The Maxus was new from the ground up, developed to be competitive with the latest vans from Ford, Fiat, PSA, Renault, GM-Europe, VW and Mercedes-Benz.

No such thing, DAF make great trucks but Vans and mini buses are terrible, they use ford transit engines which is a good thing but its probably worth saving for a Ford transit. The new LDV looks better but hopefully it'll be a big improvement
