Obviously people like Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer are the top end.

Then Sanyo and Bush at lower end, which end do Samsung come in?

depends which product you are going for, no matter which it is, you will always find someone who hates them or loves them.

BUT

Samsung are south Koren, are the 2nd biggest electrical manufacture in the world after lg.

Samsung and lg component can be found in all other manufactures tvs. EVEN SONY SCREENS, COMPONENTS, AND CARCASS ARE MADE BY SAMSUNG.

In my humble opinion samsung are in the middle end, near the top layer for reliability, components, price etc.

Hope this helps wg

Samsung are well up at the top end for the past 5 years or so, a bit above LG, and not far behind Pioneer and Panasonic. Sony remains at the top. But this depends a bit on which product you are talking about, You have only mentioed Japanese and Korean companies!

When Samsung first arrived on the UK market, they were most definitely at the low budget and indeed the low quality end of the market. However they have now been around for a long time and although they are still one of the cheaper brands, the quality has improved hugely. It's a bit like with cars, 30 years ago there were many crap ones around, including AUDI, SKODA, HYUNDAI, DATSUN (now Nissan) HONDA and many more, but I'm sure you will agree that these are now some of the most reliable cars around.

Err, Samsung make basicly everything for everyone else, such as the Bravia LCD screens in Sony are made by Samsung... so they are very high up. they arn't usually mentioned much becuase they just dont go as big and as over the top as some of the others with their 59" screens... they stay kinda off the grid, but the are certainly a very high end brand... they are also the main HD people around, much better than Sony TVs.. as they develop HD things like blu ray players and stuff, also companies develop all of their products on Samsung TVs...

I've always thought they're somewhere in the middle, though it depends on the product. I work in camera retail, where Samsung are a relative newcomer and considered pretty low-end.

I'm a Chelsea fan so to me Samsung have benefited from the association with the best team in England. :-)

They used to not be too great. Now they are doing quite well. I have a Samsung 22" LCD widescreen monitor and it is awesome. Their monitors are nice as well as their HDTV sets.
