Or can both science & religion co-exist? Why carn't religions accept scientific theories like evolution? And Athiests accept that God may exist? Should the Bible be updated?

Science is the New religon challenging the Old religons.

However the new religon has no emotional attachement - I mean praying to the law of Gravity just does not seem very appealing.

People like to believe that if they say God is Great is Great is Great , enough times , then they will go to Heaven ......... now thats cool

No! by any stretch of the imagination. Religion is based on faith. You are asked to believe the unbelievable Science asks you to accept only fact and fact amazingly enough is by far more interesting than fiction. Compare the big bang with Zap let here be light. There is a real danger that science could become a religion but that is a different story. It would be just as bad as the current world religions are. As o coexistence well we have been coexisting for sometime now. There is one area of religion where god has put on a new face and that is Deism. They believe in a "god" who started everything with a big bang and then left not to meddle with anything in the universe he has not been heard of ever since.

Depends how you define science. If you define it as complete obedience to and worship of a fictitious all- powerful entity for which there is no evidence, then yes, science is a religion.

However science is not defined in those terms - it requires evidence for a start - therefore science is not a religion.

Update the bible again ? Do you know how many times it has already been revised and updated ?
