What are the industry standard costs for sending bulk email?
I have been quoted £4.50 per thousand emails, if i buy 100,000 emails per month. I am struggling to find standard prices, so dont really know if it's a good deal or not!
Anyone have any knowledge or advice?

I have 22k customers and i send around 85k emails per month to them... newsletters, offers etc using a very well managed list.
I now want to use someone like emailvision.co.uk but am wondering what the standard prices are

THIS IS NOT SPAM!!!
All companies with an online presence send email and it works well.. it's easy to opt out and only sent to customer who purchase something.

If you have your own server then you can use this system. They also offer to rent you a server for a very low fee. The system can be installed for you.
ByPass Publishing System http://www.market-soft.com/bypass/
It can handle very large lists and would give you a once only payment. I have seen it work from the front and back end and it is from a very reputable person.
If you want to use an automatic system the awber.com is the one used by the professionals. It can easily handle the volumes you are talking about. The problem with this is that they are very anti - spam compliant and will need your people to confirm with a link that they wish to be on the list so you may lose some of your more lazy customers (not always a bad thing). Once again they are a very reputable company and a quick call to them will help you out with migrating your list over. The cost is on the site but it is very low per month.
Both of these systems manage your list for you. You have an easy interface where you set up your email. A bit like typing in this box. The systems manage unsubscribing and you can set up a web form for people to join very easily. Both allow for multiple lists and both companies work very hard to get the emails through.
As you are not spamming - good luck!

Getresponce.com provides a program that you load the E-mail addresses and the E-mail. The system will mail to your list, the cost per month is $19.95 to $29.95. Your mailing service is an autoresponder.
Once your customers are verified, you can mail them as often as you need to.

"Bulk Send E-mails" can be a different way to say "Spam". Are you sure you want to opt for this idea (You know what most people think of Spam?)
The quote you have is a bit pricey, so it depends if you can find it cheaper.

I hope these are existing customers you are just keeping up to speed.
I just empty my spam box without reading a single mail, so i am pleased to hear it costs money for them to send spam, at least they are paying to go straight in the trash unopened.
So if you are spamming save your mail and ou Patience

I think it'd just be cheaper if you sent them singularly - they're free then. While I realize that this may take up valuable company time, if it's the same email, all you have to do is change the address each time, & if the addresses are already programmed into your computer, then just hit "Send" to each one individually.
