She has alzheimer's and my sister will not tell me where she is at. She is supposedly nearby Lubbock, but that may not be entirely true. I live in South Dakota, but I do want to see her this summer. Would the state have a record maybe? Is there someone that I can contact to help me? Anything would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can contact the Medicare/Medicaid or Social Security office of that area and tell them that you are looking for your mothers social worker and let them know the situation. You will have to have proof that you are her daughter (birth certificate). They will be happy to help you.

Why is your sister being such a bit** and not tell you where your mother is? You can check the yellow pages on the internet and start calling places and ask them seeing how you are a relative they have to give out that information, sorry to hear that about your sister, she sounds like a bit** to keep your mother from you a selfish one at that.

They would usually have a record.
If you rang up they probably would not tell you due to confidentiality.
Try visiting your sister & actually going with her, that seems like the clearest (maybe difficult) option.

Does your sister have "legal custody" of your Mom? If not, you can file a missing person complaint if she won't tell you where she is...
