Norton gives me the sh*ts. I've had excellent results from Computer Associates (CA). AVG is ok for free.

Some say the best anti-virus is bit-defender, others say is Norton, others will tell you Kaspersky.
In my opinion there is no "best anti-virus", I mean there is no anti-virus that even kept to date can remove all threats, because the viruses appear faster then the updates of an av.
So, to make a rank (just from my experience with viruses and anti-viruses), I will say:
1. Norton
2. Avira anti-virus (even though is free is remarkably reliable)
3. Kaspersky (but it take a lot of your resources)
4. Bit defender

There may be others that I don't know about.
