I don't know if they turn people on, but I do know that people are drawn to them like moths to a flame. I have seen many collisions occur because the driver stared at the flashing light instead of the road in front. Some even drive toward the light. I think it's just peoples natural curiosity taking over. Flashing light = something interesting happening.

They turn me on too . I miss the 70's with my blacklights and strobe light. I have blue lights attached to the wheels on my motorcycle. At night everyone points at me .

I didn't realize spiders liked lights? I thought it was a moth thing....
In my province, blue lights are reserved for snow removal equipment, so all they mean to me is that I have to shovel my driveway!!! lol

I think its a possibility...I have read colours effects moods of people, for example red is the color of passion, combining color and light should effect people....try having sex with red light in your room

it's a phycological attraction. blue, red, yellow have been proven to grab our attention.
