Sure, it's pretty safe as long as you meet in a public place first. The real risk is getting HIV or another STD and that's something no site has addressed. There is no health check for the members. Online dating is as much a risk as meeting someone ont he street, in a bus, at the subway. It may or may not be dangerous. Online, u get to meet a whole bunch of people... wierdos, psychos.... normal, average and even some very nice people. If u ask me, its pretty much like the people u meet on the street, the people u board a bus or a train with, the people u meet in the subway. Its just dat wen u start dating someone online, it demands a greater level of trust, yet carefulness. You try to be as friendly and straight-forward as possible, but at the same time not revealing details concerning ur financial status. Else, I see nothing wrong with it.
Try to see it like meeting a girl in the club - u''ll never really know wat u r getting into until u get to know her.

Actually, it's more safe for a guy than for a girl. But, of course you have to really get to know her pretty well before you can convince yourself that it is real. Have lots of conversations - online, phone and dates. Good luck!

yeah, its a little harder for women but yeah your pretty safe.. about as safe as the guy that meets a psycho woman in a bar and doesn't realize it till he brings her home and her head starts spinning and speakin in tounges hahahah. You meet crazies online and in person haha at least you can get to know them online first.
