they both taste pretty bad, so why do so many people like them?

Good quality beer is delicious! Better than chocolate. Poor quality beer tastes like wee.
I only drink really good fresh coffee. I like the flavour of it when it is strong and uses good beans. If it is badly made then it is awful and acrid.
