I know its hard Im going through the same thing.I often find myself reading my textbook & thinking of my now x boyfriend.
Until i actually took my dads advice & do things that wouldd get my mind of him. Its working so far Most of the time i am doing other things which keep me busy (such as gym, sport, going out with friends, sporting events, helping my younger siblings with homework or taking them around, going to friends parties, friends houses). Its hard but it works most of the time.
Good Luck & Im sorry love

Time is pretty much the only thing that will help but it may also stick with you forever and can end up hurting future relationships, you just have to try and forget about the last one and live you life for now and not then

you cant.
at least, I never ever forgot any of my ex-girls or just friendship relations, with people I have lost contact. Its all in my head, and I like it. Sometimes, I even have dreams of my ex-girls, even that relation ended over 10 years ago.
But I guess what you are actually asking, is, how to get rid of the pain of a broken up relation. right ? The pain will slowly disappear. The best is always get into a new love asap. A new love will totally get rid of any pains. So go out with friends as often as possible. Go to bars, to cinemas, to events, museum, whatever.
But dont stay at home, also not at your friends home. You need to move out into public, to see faces. Worst you can really do is lock yourself up in your room. good luck.

i know its hard to forget, but the worst thing that you could do is get into another relationship now. Meet new people, keep yourself busy. Have fun being single, enjoy it!

good friends and laughter. don't get into another relationship right away it may be hard but you need to be alone for awhile. rediscover yourself and enjoy your friends force yourself to go out with them it helps. watching TV keeping busy is the best get to busy to think about him.

the only real way is to remove the parts of the cerebral cortex which are responsible for storing that memory.
