Note: These are my opinions please do not take them personally.

I have two suggestion for this Q's.
1. Our Mind is a tremendously powerfull tool. It can produce whatever you impress on it. This is called illusion. Beleive me you can produce anything you want or you have deeply desired or something you are very afraid of, depending on the pressure of those feelings.
You can see things flying, ghosts, Gods, etc.
If you are really good at this you can even make people see things as you want. Which is creating illusion for others.
Mind will reflect the thing you have deep printed on it.
Many people are very afraid ghosts and their mind often produces the replicas of the impressions as they were stored.

2.
Apart from the 3 dimensions we know, theres one more dimension - Time dimention.
This time dimension itself is having infinite dimensions in it.
We all are living in one of the dimension of Time dimensions.
There are several dimensions like this. They may same or different.
Whenever theres an overlap in any two dimension, people from one time dimension gets views of another time dimension. And may be this what we call Ghosts.

it is really an interesting question as many ppl hav very differing views. i believe that the spirit of a person can still exist after the person has past but that the fictional or comic book ghost is unrealistic and does not exist.

I have never seen, but heard. When i will see then only i will believe in the existance of ghost.

Yes, but not what you think they are. They are fallen angels also known as demons. They can take the form of anyone or anything. When people die their soul does not stick around. It goes upstairs or downstairs.
