he's a boy...an dim turning 16 in july..( im a girl) neways..i really like this guy..he's sweet and funny and we r like best friends right now..we like doing the same things...and we get a long great..we get in little fights n stuff bt then we get over it..he acts EXTREMLY mature for his age but also i kinda act immature....just a little..neways..is it wrong 2 love him?? i mean seriously?..please help im so confused!!!

ok like a few days ago i invited him over 2 my house and we were n the back watching a movie..and just outta no where i just lean on him and he puts his arm around me and we watch the movie like that..he's so sweet!! no i wasnt thinking about sex! we had already talked about boundries and stuff..he's really cool...i love hangin out with him..i dnt listen 2 what other people say about me..i just do what i wanna do..and sometimes listen 2 advice.but im talkin about critisism..i ignore that....we both do..sooo..is it bad that i want 2 go out with him and kiss him??

ok..we live in africa..we all international and there aren't other guys!!!!! but thats nt y i like him..he's canadian and im american.but everyone connsiders me canadian b/c i say eh and stuff like that..etc...thats just weird..anyways..we live in a small comunitty and see each other EVERYDAY!!!! seriously..im not going 2 have sex with him..im not like that...seriously!!! im nt a very horney teenager..lol...so please..try and be serious..

I just signed up for YA and the first thing i saw was your headline...i was curious...read it...and i don't think you're crazy or nothing like that...i mean yeah he's thirteen but think about if you guys get older together then he's really only 3 years younger than you are...you'll just have to be careful when you 18 and he's 15 becuase people like to spread rumors and you wouldn't wanna go to jail for molestation...which is what happens whether it's consentual or not (i read an article about it in something...)

I don't think you're in love, I think it's more along the lines of being "in like". Just because he hasn't talked to you much in a couple of days doesn't mean he doesn't like you. It's not obsessive or pathetic to start a conversation with him, in fact, that might be why he hasn't started conversations with you in the past couple of days. You need to talk to him about where you guys are in your friendship, relationship, or whatever it is you have. Good luck, I remember how confusing stuff like this was at 13, and how it still is now.

Sarah, Three years is a big difference in age when you are that young. You're at the point in life when you will be doing a lot of changing. A boy does not typically go through these changes as early as a girl. If you start a more personal relationship now, you are bound to hurt him when these changes in your life begin. Best idea is to remain good friends. If it is meant to be, five or more years from now, the age difference will not be as significant.

When i was 15 / 16 i was extremely mature, got bullied for being odd and older then my age.. got served for alcohol, made business calls for my mum and at one bit i dated a 42 year old.. i fell for older men and still do..

Theres nothing worng in age differences and after all your both agreeing and no ones taking advantage of anyone..

this is still young love, trust me. but no there is nothing wrong loving or liking someone younger than you. i know lots of couples where the female is 10 years older than the male and they have been married for 20 years. just remain good friends with him and see where it goes. and if someone makes fun of you don't ruin a good thing for someone else opinion.
