BENIDORM - we booked over the net and went to
hotel for two weeks half board.
Its very busy with lots of bars, clubs and restaurants.

Go to Ibiza. It has superb nightlife if you want it but it also has quieter areas. The added bonus is that you can get a ferry to formentera for about £20.00, the beaches are superb, they even rival some of the beaches I've been to in the Caribbean. I've been all over the world and been to Ibiza 3 times. If I went again I would spend my nights in Ibiza town as the restauraunts are good and spend my days on Formentera (20 minutes on the ferry, every hour.)
I hated Magaluf but Majorca has a get place called Calla Mondrago, beautiful, cheap but quiet. The nearest rowdy town is about 20 minutes in taxi if you wanted it.
On mainland Spain, the Costa De La Luz is quiet with great beaches, it's not far from the Portugal coast. Seville is only two hours away from Conil De La Frontera and is my favourite Spanish City, well worth a visit but you do need to learn a little spanish before you can totally appreciate Seville.
Don't go to the Canaries, my most hated destination in the world. If you didn't like Magaluf you will hate Lanzarote and Tenerife. Try to choose somewhere that isn't affected my mass tourism; you will generally find a more relaxed but more enjoyable holiday.

Its the cheap bit that is the problem, its not cheap. Barcelona has all you mention, but not cheap. You usually find the places that are more built up and have more competion, cheaper, like Lloret, Magaluf, what about Tenerife or Benidorm, that fits your catorgary. Hey just looked back on the answers you have and looks like Benidorm fits you bill !

Valencia (there are beaches there)
San Sebastián (again beaches)
I thought that Salamanca, Toledo, Granada and Barcelona were very nice, but then again those weren't places you described.
You can check various websites online to get cheap hostels if you don't want to pay a lot, and get a travel book for Spain if you are unfamiliar with the area. Peace

We have a place in Playa Flamenca, only 40 mins from Alicante airport, 20 mins from Murcia airport, so cheap flights usually available from most places in the UK. There's local life easy to reach, lots of great restaurants, many blue star beaches easily reachable and it's only 20 from Torrevieja for more shopping/chilling/eating. We enjoy going there a lot.
Spend too much on nice clothes and always pack too much!
