Christians and muslims are dumb because they base their belief on faith, which means, do not question , just follow what is written in the book . The church and mullahs has to say that because otherwise, the Bible or the koran becomes a crock, with many inconsistencies and many things that simply do not make sense.

So they stay dumb and traditional for another couple of years.

Actually this is a very tired old question which has been asked and answered hundreds of times in this forum. You know that religious belief or non belief has nothing to do with IQ. You simply want to bait Christians into an argument or offend them. That's probably the reason you don't get an intelligent answer the Christians are busy answering questions which require much deeper thought. Have a nice day Pat.

Absolutely not, I follow a religion and I'm getting higher grades then almost all the atheists I know. Besides, the vast majority of scientists do believe in a creator. Einstien, Newton..... Believing in science does not mean disbelieving in god. Science is basically our interpretation and understanding of natural laws that God installed. When we are unable to interpret a specific event scientifically we refer to it as a miracle. So a nuclear energy a hundred years ago would be considered a miracle. But it's not today because we gave it a scientific explanation.... See the patern

Probably you are right. A higher IQ comes from broader and higher learning in the fields of philosophy, science, education, commerce, biology, archaelogy, humanity, psychology, arts and music, and other bodies of knowledge. So, if an atheist studies and learns much more than a religious fanatic, it follow that the former will have a higher IQ than the latter.

This might be possible for the fact that what you call "religious fanatics" are more focused on God and eternity than they are about worldly things which are worthless. The atheist is only concerned with selfish pride, so they study hard so they can be rich and enjoy their heathen lifestyle of indulging in sin. In the Bible it does not say we Christians have to be smart to be in Heaven, so most of us put our time into the study of God and the Bible and don't much care about if we have money or not. God provides for us.

Becausee they(atheists) always try to find an answer to whatever super-natural question by themselves and not prescribing to a certain dogma. Religous fanatics on the other hand just repeat indoctrinations and many times without caring or even questioning the validity of its meaning.

Religious beliefs have nothing to do with IQ. Most of the Christians I know are among the most intelligent people I know. Many of the athiests I know are intelligent also but are not wise in their choices and lifestyles and always end up discovering that their choices were foolish sooner or later.
The difference is that many athiests think they are intelligent becuase they tend to be prideful and self centred.
But it is true that pride cometh before the fall.
I pray that you find true Wisdom in knowing your Creator.

You probably don't score so highly on IQ tests if you just randomly quote chunks of your chosen religion's "Mugs Guide To Life" as they all seem so fond of doing when posed by a tricky question.

If that is so, it's is measured by mans understanding. A man is right in his own eyes, but God measures what's in the heart. Wisdom of a man cannot be measured on paper. And anyway, How would you know?

Because we're not deluded! Unlike most religious people who run around preaching and praying to a non-existent entity, we have actually used our brains to deduce that this is life, god didn't create it and he's not waiting for us at the end of it!
