I find your question and the comments very judgemental, I am a Catholic and yes I believe in the faith like anyone believes in their own faith and I live normally like anybody else. My upbringing was very moral and I was taught to respect others and on this site I do not criticise anybody elses Religion. so why be judgemental?

Popular culture.

Almost everything about popular culture goes against Christian (and Catholic) moral teachings.

Popular culture is constantly bombarding us with intensive, not-so-forcible indoctrination, aimed at setting up worldly convictions and attitudes.

Popular culture comes at us from all directions including books, movies, TV, songs, advertisements, video games and even the Internet.

A few of the these immoral values include:
- Lust and Sex (outside of marriage)
- A disrespect for God and religion
- A disrespect for lawful authority
- A disrespect for our human dignity
- Envy, greed and consumerism
- Anger and Violence
- Drug abuse including smoking and alcohol
- Vanity, outside is more important than inside
- Prejudice and hate

With love in Christ.

the major problems are that they forget that they are human to, and try to be perfect in each others eyes, nobody is perfect and i find that when you try to be (catholics), you are the least perfect of all of us, i always try to live up to my own set of morals, but i have kids and i always tell them when something does't go right or look right, or that food didn't turn out perfect, i tell them, that that is not perfect but it is perfect to me, then we have a good laugh or smile, life is imperfect - now how beautiful is that........
