I need to know this for a stats research paper on mortality, but I've been having a really hard time finding this information!

Not that I know of. It is not inconceivable, however, that a quick, well-placed bite to the neck would end grandma's life. Unless of course grandma was a ninja, in which case she would triangulate and bite the squirrel instead.

But, squirrels are rodents. Rodents can get rabies, but almost never transmit it via a bite.

I'd worry about getting brucellosis from eating an improperly cooked squirrel, but I know of no incidents of this.

There are two squirrels stealing food from my bird feeder. My wife fears they are raising my blood pressure. If I die from a stroke or a heart attack, it's their fault.

You may want to search on the lines of rabies causing animals. i know that squirrels are a potential carrier of rabies and I also know that there have been instances of humans getting bitten by squirerels. So there.

California has an outbreak on Squirrels. Their good eating.

Not that I know of. Frozen squirrels have been used in crimes though.
