i am 47 and its not so easy to meet someone as it used to be. I know alot of people who have met partners off their and i would not call them desperate my friend looks like a model and has lots fo fellas after her but she said its better on dating sites cos at a club you meet someone its physical and then think urg wheras on a site you get to know their personality, she got a loveley husband off one so why do people think otherwise

in think...in a sense it is, but then again it is something not to be ashamed of. it's true, some people just have an extremely hard time meeting others in their lives. dating sights allows people to get to know each other before committing or getting involved with something that seems ridiculous later on....it also allows for a larger and easier process for finding something that meets your interests. desperate? i think only some people would call it that because they dont find it to be a genuine courting and selecting process since online dating services assisst an individual in finding another. whatever works best for you, is how you should go about meeting people. but whatever way you choose to go about it, just be confident. goodluck in finding the one:)

hi there .....in a word no we are not desperate ......as you can probably tell ive been on chat sites and yes that is where i found the man of my dreams .....dont getr me wrong there where a few that had to be weeded out ....sort of speak .....the reason chat sites get bad press is because of ......thne press and there are thousands of people using these sites everyday and have a great time chatting to people .....think bout it this way if you where home bound due to illness ....you might have no contact with people ,yet with these sites you can .....look the other way is you can sit and chat to people and have a good laugh and just maybe along the way you could find that special lady that you are looking for ........good luck and take care xx

No ..The only problem i have with online dating is most of the women use phony pictures or pictures of her 5 years and 200lbs ago or just lie through their teeth..

People will always find a reason to judge someone..So if you want to try online dating it's your life and anyone who doesn't like it can piss off..Thats the attitude i'd have anyway.
