Sometimes.

Why, because it would be nice to have faith in something like Jesus.

I just don't believe it. I've read a good portion of the Bible, and through here and the internet I get Christianity better than most Christians seem to.

It's just not for me. I tried with an open mind. I tried it for selfish reasons. I tried it because I wanted to. Never, nothing, almost sometimes, but never.

Does this mean it's not true? I'd have to say yes, but I'd also say I'll never win the lottery. And I'd like to win the lottery.

The problem is, is that humanity has been trying to disprove Christianity for years, so they've come up with an answer for every question long before Yahoo! or the internet.

Though some of it is circular reasoning.....you know.."How do you know the Bible is the true word of God?" "Cause it says so"

Stuff like that.

But if I had a choice, I'd rather be who I am, and I do have a choice so I am me.

I am a lot like you, though my laughing is less secret. Gotta admit though they are sure a happy bunch, though ignorance may be bliss.

"What in the what now? Is there a question in all of that?"

No I'm basically out of questions, no one here or anywhere on earth has the answers.

So was there an answer there?

Were you expecting to be able to answer for me, ignore the last part about me wanting a girlfriend if that's your attitude.

If you envy Christians, it may be that there is something you long for spiritually which you do not find satisfied in your life. This doesn't mean that Christianity is true for you, or that the answer is Jesus. But I do think that PERHAPS you may feel a need of some sort. Look for what is true which can fulfill this need. Do not try to fill it with something you think is false. That would never work. But fulfill it with what is true and valuable. For example, you seem like an extremely intelligent person. Perhaps learning is very important to you. Perhaps you feel a drive to teach what you have learned and experienced. This can help others. Maybe service to humanity is what you would like to focus on.
Try to get to know yourself, and how you relate with the universe. I think that therein, you can find an answer - if in fact, you are needing an answer. I'm just guessing.

At least your honest, good for you. Maybe you should try to accept the Bible for the right reasons. Believe in Christ because he has given you such a great gift, not because you want something. You have to believe because you know in your heart its true, not because you want it to be. I know its true, because I have never seen a critisism of the word stand up. There is no sun setting into a stream, no flat earth, no contradictions. The prophesies have come true, just don't be misled by Christians that say so, when they are wrong, not the Bible. The stars can not be counted, aristotle counted them 1054 i think. But, today we know there are billions. The universe is stretching, it is!! The earth hangs on nothing, it does!! Modern science continues to prove it right, and has not yet come up with a legitimate arguement. Jesus died for your sins, believe it.

What in the what now? Is there a question in all of that?

I don't have faith in God because I'm told to or I'm scared of burning in hell. I've always had a feeling that God was there, even before anyone told me it's a good idea to believe in Him. That's just me. If you don't believe in anything like God, that's fine. That doesn't mean someone who does is following blindly or doing so out of fear. If they are, odds are, they're not very fullfilled and if there is a heaven, they might not go. I don't even think about my faith to tell you the truth. I'm not into religion so it doesn't run my life at all. I'm also not deluded enough to believe in whatever someone tells me to. You came to a conclusion and so have I. Just because I can't see what I have faith in, doesn't make it any less real to me. Anyone who believes in God has that right just like you have the right to think it's all utter crap.

If you're out of questions, stop posting. That's easy enough. If you need a girlfriend, I don't know what to tell ya aside from going to match.com or something.

And so, "I am me", remember "He is He" or better said "I Am" says the Lord. Humanity has tried to disprove Christianity, so? Humans make errors, are mistaken ALOT. That's why I would not, could not or should not ever put my faith in humanity!! Can I tell you that the reason you "just don't believe" is because you are relying on your human understanding!! When you ASK Jesus into your heart, have a personal relationship with Him, repent and willingly follow Him, HE will give you the POWER to believe, the gift of FAITH that surpasses all human understanding. Your open carnal mind is no match to the power of the enemy either. Satan wants nothing more than to keep you from faith in the One who will save you from your sins, from eternal Life with your Savior in Heaven for eternity. Do not settle for his deceptive lies. God loves YOU just as you are, but is unwilling to leave you that way. But you must ASK to receive!! Change your "Me" to "We" = You and Jesus with the Holy spirit indwelling you to guide you and lead you. I promise you, He will never leave or forsake you. Ask Jesus into your heart. What do you have to lose? Oh, yeah, eternal damnation.

Solution by arithmetic :
You add all the death made in the name of each religion, you see the one which gets the worst result and choose the one with the better result.
Do you know that in meddle ages christian used to burn alive all the people they consider as sorcerer or non believer, see the history of "Jeanne d'Arc" (Johan of the Bow) in french history. If you have seen the part of "Star Gate" american serie the scenarist have not really invented the "Preachers" they have made a transposition from the "Holly Inquisition" the last victim had been burned no more than 200 years in Spain. I have a much more accurate vision on them because i live close of them, in France.
For the result of additions, i bet on Buddhism winner.

Some people live in states of confusion for their life where faith is concerned... in time your chosen beleif will come to you and that's what you'll fall with, there no point in gewtting into bed about it and where theres religion there so much judgement passed i think that sometimes it's just best to have an open mind..

As for the bible how do we know that its not just words, abnyone could have wrote that, i could have... but then again it could be the word of god..

It's upto you what you choose to be and one day it will come to you, just wait, be patient and your life wioll choose your route.. x

Okay, we are all sinners. Right? Yeah, okay, so here's the deal: Sinners are punished forever. Now, Jesus was sent to die for sinners and atone for their sins(pay a price, redeem). Okay, now, if you believe in Jesus and accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior you will be saved from that punishment. The Bible is God's love letter to you. You don't need to understand all of it, just this: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten(born)Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish(die), but have eternal life. Now, did that make sense? If you would like to discuss this contact me. Oh, and nice telling me you scored with a Catholic girl. I really wanted to know.

I'd say putting your fingers in your ear and going LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU is not really an answer at all.

To be a Christian one needs to be convicted in his heart that he a sinner in need of a Savior who can save him out of his predicament and put him on right relationship with God. You may not have reached the end of yourself in this regard and therefore have not received the conviction of the Holy Spirit. For me the truthfulness of the Bible is proved by spiritual experiences. The Bible claims that when we receive Jesus as our Savior the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of us forever. The Bible also claims that when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit we receive God's power and speak in tongues. These claims work in my life. I speak in tongues with the Holy Spirit giving me utterance. I operate God's power through the spiritual gifts I have. I have prayed for healing for people and they were healed. I have cast out demons in Jesus' name. I have experienced the leading of the Holy Spirit in ministry and in prayers.. By experience I know the word of God is true.
