Salt the skin of your potatoes and wrap in foil before putting them in the oven at 350 for an hour. They come out very moist.

1. preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. scrub russet potatoes well with a vegetable scrub brush in cold water.
3. Take a fork and puncture a couple times on each side of each potato.
4. roll the wet potatoes in kosher or sea salt.
5. when the oven is fully preheated, place the potatoes on the center rack at least two inches from each other and not touching the sides of the oven.
6. bake for one hour, or until a fork goes in easily and the potato "gives" when you gently squeeze it with a hot pad.
7. take potatoes out of oven and let sit about 5 minutes.
8. take one of those perfectly baked potatoes and put it on a plate or soup bowl an do the following: take a sharp knife and make a lengthwise slit all the way across, then a slit cross ways halfway from the original slit to make a sort of cross. Then take your thumbs and forefingers and pinch the potato nearest those slits and poof! the potato fluffs before your very eyes! Add butter or margarine if you like as well as any cheese, salt, pepper, bacon, sour cream, chives, onions, etc etc etc.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect potatoes need to be washed and then poked a few times with a fork.
Mash a clove of garlic, and rub ir around the outside of the potato and then put it in the microwave for about 10 minutes on medium.
Yank them out, lightly rub with a bit of olive oil and wrap in aluminum foil and then put them in a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until you can insert a fork easily.
Cut it open lengthwise and then horozontally and squeeze the points together and the potato will fluff up and out of the incisions. Top with the toppings of your choosing.
I usually add a bit of butter and then crumbled bacon and diced green onion and cheese and pop them back into the over until the cheese is melted and then top with sour cream.

Cut a piece of foil, rub the skin with olive oil and sprinkle sea salt/mineral salt. Close the foil and bake until softened. Another alternative is to place some thinly slices of garlic under the potato. When serving, take the garlic out, mash and mix it with butter or a small amount of olive oil(extra virgin) and salt in the potato. Olive oil as alternative in the potato or mash is delicious.

Well firstly scrub them well and cut any dark spots out.
Put a baking tray in the oven at about gas mark 7.
Rub the potatoes in olive oil and then cover them in a lot of salt, a lot more than you would usually eat. Don't worry most of it will crisp up and fall off but it will flavour the potatoes wonderfully!
Put them in the oven and cook for about one hour if they are big, adjust times accordingly depending on the size of your potatoes and your type of oven.
When the outside is crispy and the inside is soft- test with a knife- take them out, brush excess salt off and cut in half.
Put a large knob of butter on the cooked insides.
Et voila!

Personally, I microwave them for about 20 minutes and then put them in the oven. That way, the inside is soft and the outside is crunchy, just how I like it.
