You left out blue. Bostons are usually referred to as mantles now. Then there are the mismarks - merles, fawniquins, etc, which are perfectly fine dogs, but not recognized colours in the show ring.
I don't care what colour they are, I'll take any Dane! I've had fawns and blues before. Currently I have 3 blacks and a beautifully marked brindle boy.
Colour is a personal preference. I don't think there is anything more beautiful than a classic fawn Dane. Be very careful where you buy, there are a lot of BYB's and puppy millers out there with flashy websites. And good Dane breeders never advertise in the newspapers.
I'm lucky enough to have been owned by Danes for over 30 years.

Harlequin, btw; we in simple terms have been given an spectacular dane a pair of months in the past. he replaced right into a rescue, regardless of the undeniable fact that it replaced right into a surender. maximum all large danes have seperation issues. so, be up for whining and crying. yet over all, hes the perfect canines ever.

I see all the lovely colors at the dog shows. However, my favorite is always the fawn.. It just looks so dressy and noble..

I had a solid black great dane when I was really young and he was so beautiful! His coat shined and dirt was not as visibile, haha. Really I think I loved the black one because of the name we choose for him to. His name was ONYX, and he looked and shined like one to!
