Talk to your man and tell him your concerns. If you explain to him your nervous and need him to guide you, I'm sure he'll be more than willing to help. After you get over your nerves, have him guide your hips and tell you what feels good and what doesn't. After awhile, it will just come naturally.
Also, when a woman orgasms during intercourse, 9 out of 10 it's in this position (You have more control). So it's well worth it to give it a try!

it's a very natural thing to do. you don't need certification or lessons or anything like that. all you need is someone you trust enough and you feel good enough with that you will be comfortable trying something you don't feel too sure about. generally guys love it when the girl rides on top. there's a great view, for one thing. and for another, some guys may feel like they can learn something about how to make YOU feel good, because you have so much control over what is happening with the sex. if you make yourself feel good up there, the guy will LOVE it because he can see you getting off, see how you're doing it, and it reduces his workload for a change. try it out, and you will find that your pleasure will do all the teaching you need.

The whole idea of a woman on top is so she can achieve pleasure at her OWN pace and what feels good to her, not him. Just ask him to have patience and understanding when it comes down to it and if you aren't sure how it makes him feel, then ask him. Communication is the key and both partners need to be sensitive to each other's needs!

I've never been on top either so this okay.
I guess the advice of the others: confidence is keen I know that is important in anything and communication in an intimate relationship is very important. I'm 23 too and I've only had one lover so don't feel alone. (a result of failure to save myself for marriage) Don't be intimidated!!!

He hates it when you're on top, or he hates it that you refuse?

I'm guessing it's the latter.

He knows you don't know what you're doing, and he wants it anyway. So why worry?

And by the way, the view is great for him when you're there.

Also, he can prompt your motions with his hands, whether or not he has the strength in his arms to seriously move you around.

::whistles innocently::

Or you could just let him tickle your ribs, in which case sufficient movement on your part is pretty much guaranteed ...

Be confident, that is big a part of sex in general wouldnt you agree, and watch him for reactions... if you have been partners for a length of time then surely you can read his body language.

Wow, you're in a sexual relationship and don't communicate...that's a little silly isn't it.

Talk...it's simple....if you love each other it should be easy.

Oh, and sex should be fun, even more so when you are exploring new positions etc.

Watch some videos, if you know what I mean. See how they do it and go from there!
