The US media is currently operating as a force multiplier - for the enemy.

Not since WWII has the media been a force multiplier. The United States military has won and can win any conflict militarily, but what it can not ever win again is the propaganda wars in the media. Imagine during WWII if the public had as much instant access to casualty reports and negative media coverage as today. Congress would have been screaming for peace by the summer of 1942.

The media can be a major force multiplier. In Rwanda, a single radio station played a major role in turning a machete wielding mob into an efficient genocide force even the Nazis would admire.

The media is a force divider right now. CNN BBC and MSNBC are extreme liberal media vehicles that deliver sensationalized lies peppered with little bits of truth. The media could help out if it wasnt so biased and bent on making the president and troops look bad. The troops are not cutting peoples heads off and putting the videos on the internet but they get all the negative press, thanks alot.

Real journalism is unbiased. You're looking for propaganda machines. Try Fox news.
