Why do Russian mail order brides exist?

I believe in the good nature of people and that people tend to want happiness. Then why do Russian mail order brides exist? Do they want to REALLY be love by someone who can care for them or are they looking for some schmuck?

It's a 3 part win. The owner of the agency makes tons of money from single men looking for love. The ladies whant a prince to care for them financially, and the single guy wants a lover and companion wether she is faithful or not they take a risk in order to not be lonely. Some of these girls are decent and others are not and some have good intentions of marriage and maybe a family and others just want the green card. That's why the agencies exist. Besides the fact that local women some times don't give the guys seeking a foreign bride an opportunity at home. Some times it's the guy who is a weirdo or maybe he's just not attractive and it doesn't know how to talk to girls. Some times local girls make it impossible for guys as local girls also have special interests.

It's not that new a concept. Wives of the rich and powerful in a number of "civilisations" have often come from slaves, or countries that have been conquered. This is just the 21st Century version.

The geeky rich dude gets a stunning wife he could never attract on a level playing field and the Russian girl gets a life of luxury in a country she could not otherwise become a citizen of. And be honest - these girls are usually pretty stunning - it's an attractive proposition compared to some fat, toothless chav with a can of stella in one hand and a soggy silk cut in the other from your local council estate!

Plenty of people marry for money - some find love by proxy, others just get divorced and walk off with 50%. It's a bit like escorting, I guess.

If I was single and attractive, but lived in a pissante village at the arsend of nowhere, I reckon I'd give it a whirl.

I don't think I could delude myself into thinking a mail order bride would love me, though. I'd just pay for hookers if I was rich and desperate. At least you know what you're getting, that way and there's no playing silly buggers or getting divorced some way down the line.

Everyone wants to be loved. Even mail order brides. They live in a country where there aren't a lot of jobs and opportunities for women.

There is some understanding that takes place. The women know they are taking a risk and may be abused or even killed by their new husbands (this has happened.) Although many of them face life in a country where they don't speak the language, don't have friends or family, and suddenly find themselves living with a stranger, it's often preferrable than being sold into prostitution in Russia.

The men who marry these women also take a risk. They generally understand the reasons why these women choose to leave and that there is no guarantee that true love will actually be felt by either party. This is somewhat similiar to arranged marriages which still take place in many countries.

"Russian/Ukrainian/Belarusian mail-order brides" is a brand, which brings $$$$$$ to men from different countries all over the world. And yeah, including nigeria. Russian/Slavic women are not interested in perverts & losers, who are ok with the idea of buying human beings. Stay in your village and hunt your own kind.

I think with any mail order bride, its a chance at a better life. Like the place they live may be a very hard life.

Most of those girls are really damn poor and live a life that an American girl can't even imagine. Sometimes being mail bride is the only way for avoiding prostitution

most of the ones I've read about and or seen interviewed on tv donot need anyone to materially take care of them thus no they are not looking for a 'schmuck'.
The world is a mixed up lonely place with far to many singles thus here is the NEED as in "need is the mother of all invention"

i think they want better lives for themselves and end up fending off schmucks, who still live in the stone age and see some women as potential slaves to all their whims.(if you still live in stone age this applies to you, if not your ok)As for mail order brides period , they should not exist.i think there are many countries that continue to do this, to me it is a form of slavery.

They are mainly looking for a way out of their country, and a way to keep thier citzenship when they come here. The man pays to have her brought over and to take care of her, and all she has to do is be a house wife, for awhile. Under some circumstances the wife can get a divorce and stay in the united states, but i do not know the specifics. (Never had one myself. lol)
