Most Christians have never read the entire Bible, so they have no idea what it really says. It's best to just ignore them.

Nothing that I'm aware of. When a person gives a report on a given topic, it's not unusual to give references such as: the title of a book, the author, page number, chapter, line (verse.) He/she is simply referring to it to solidify a point. It's for reference, for authenticity, and verification. A Christian may quote the Bible for the same above reasons. Nothing new, unusual, or wrong with that..l

Nothing at all. I'm a Christan, and I don't "hide behind my bible" To be quite honest, I haven't read all of it. But I don't claim to be perfect, and I don't judge others on what they do. I don't vote for laws against gay marriages. I have a kid and I'm not married. I don't "throw out quotes". I'm very into science, in fact, I'm a psychology major. Some people call me a hypocrite. I say I'm just human. I have my beliefs and I don't push them on others. So, there is nothing wrong with "Christians" in general. There is something wrong with certain people and how they portray their beliefs.
PS I don't call myself religious, I call myself spiritual. If I considered myself religious, I'd be in a lot of trouble.
PPS I think a lot of people confuse Christians and catholics. There's a HUGE difference...

Some people achieve peace through reading the Bible. This is fine, as it gives them comfort. That doesn't mean, however, that they should make others uncomfortable by quoting Bible verses to them.
TRIVIA--The most STOLEN book in history has been the Bible.
Go figure...

Everything in the Bible (including "homophobia, the sexism, the racism" etc) has a valid explanation. The content isn't in there just for the sake of being in there. To the untrained eye, some of it may seem prejudice, but that's why God invented smart people.

A Christian is called to enter into a close relationship with God or in other words to abide in Christ. The more intimate his relationship with God the better Christian he becomes. Such Christians know intimately the Holy Spirit in them who is their Teacher and Counsellor who can teach them to know the Bible correctly. The important matter really is their quality of their relationship with God. As Jesus has said if someone abides in Him he is His disciple and he will know the truth and the truth will set him free.

In the past and present of India traditions you can find whatever you need, it's rather disgusting, seeing all Q/A from my french point of view to see all these questions on the primitives religions of Europe when you have nearly everything in front of your door and libraries.

There is alot wrong with alot of Christians. Most of which I take it they aren't reading their Bibles. As far as the Bible, absolutely nothing. It is God's perfect living word.

Your question sucks. What about "their" bible? The only problem I can see is that there is way too many ways to interperate it. Don't be a hater!
