Okay, it's grain of salt time......this is a bit of a stretch, but really we need some loosening up on the gay folk.
"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant which they broke, though I was their husband, says the Lord. But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." (Jeremiah 31:31-33)
"though I was their husband, says the Lord."
Now it has been assumed by the fact that man was created first, has a better go in the Bible then women, and everyone (except hippies) calls God a he when assigning gender that God should recognize humans see him as a man. Even Jesus said he was his father.

Now as for the "their" (the Isrealites) I'm sure he wasn't talking about all the ladies. Especially since he really only seemed to deal with men, some exceptions, but mostly in the baby making cases, but i digress.
God in gay marriage, not literaly, don't hate.

Somehow, I do not believe you believe what you are implying here, but for your fun sake, let's say you do. Better be careful twisting Scripture to your own justification. Doesn't matter how you twist it, God doesn't change to accommodate your justifications. Read at the end of Revelation, what God has to say about adding to or subtracting from the Scriptures.

The New Testament book of Hebrews (8:8-12) quotes a key passage from this chapter to explain why Christians no longer live by the Old Testament regulations. Hebrews goes on to apply Jeremiah's prophecy to Jesus, who introduces a new covenant with sweeping forgiveness. God will change His people from the inside out, putting His law into their hearts through the Holy Spirit.

i think of, even in the adventure that your God approves or no longer, is between the couple and their God. it is going to no longer be of any magnitude to every physique else via fact it would not influence every physique else's existence. If Tim and Dave get married, no person is compelled to take a pay decrease; lose their residing house; could resign their vehicle; would be made sterile; won't be able to consume at McDonald's. If it would not influence your existence, then are not getting entangled. in case you're against gay marriage then do no longer marry somebody of a similar intercourse. i'm no longer a Christian. yet while your God includes decide you, he will decide you based on the type you lived YOUR existence. no longer on how I lived mine.

First, Israel is often spoken of as a woman, or a bride, which God brought into His marriage bed. Second, He explicitly says a man who lays with a man, as with a woman should be killed(by stoning). Even Jesus makes mention of this. Man and Woman created He them. You are mistaken to think God was in a homosexual marriage. (Look, I don't like the denotation gay for homosexual. When I was a child it meant happy)homosexuality is a perversion and you are just trying to justify your wicked lifestyle. I don't hate you, or fear you(why should I do that), but I do find homosexuality repugnant as I would Pedophilia, or Bestiality, or some other un-natural sex act.

In the beginning God created Adam and Eve and he told them to fill the earth and subdue it. His purpose was for humans to live on and fill the earth by procreation. Thus Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. Homosexuals cannot procreate thus their sexual preference is not in line with God's will.
When God refers to himself as Israels husband, its describing the covenant that was between them just as marriage is a covenant (contract, promise) between 2 people, that is how the Israelites relationship was with God. The Israelites swore to worship him as the one and only true God but they broke that vow and are viewed as an unfaithful spouse.

Dear Friend,
You lack the understanding to correctly interpret these scriptures. It quotes 'husband' in this scripture because the church is the Bride of Christ, i.e. they will be reunited when Christ returns.
Romans 1 clearly gives teaching as to Gods view of Homosexuality:
Romans1:24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
We have to apply Jesus teaching to love eachother as he loved us to all of these teachings, them means that we should live the sinner, but discourage what they do.
God Bless

I think even you know this is reduculois, this scripture explains why you cannot understand God's word as the truth.
2 Corinthians 4
Treasures in Jars of Clay
1Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"[a]made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
See, apparently you live in darkness, therefore you will not understand the word of God.

Collectively, mankind is female in the eyes of God. You might notice that in the New Testament, we, the Church, are the Bride of Christ. That is why priests, who act in the person of Christ, are married to the Church.

The term "husband" is used metaphorically here, to designate a close relationship, not anything of a sexual nature.

By stating that, he declares that he will take care of them not fornucate with them. don't you think that GOD would have created a world of men alone if he intended for 2 men to be together and vice versa.
