It's Feb 22 and we're still discussing Valentine's Day at work.
The guy I like didn't give me anything but a hug for Val Day, but that's exactly all I wanted. And I'm not complaining because I felt the love in the hug. Some old girl at work is teasing me that she's his Valentine...but she's not. I flipped around and asked him "Well why didn't you get me anything for Valentine's Day?" ---
even though he knew I didn't want anything. He said ... "But you are my Valentine!" Then he walked behind the counter where I work and gave me a hug.

Here's the question...
How much stock would you put in the comment
"But you are my Valentine!".
Then he went on to tell me how to stand up to her yacking mouth.
He said to tell her a REAL WOMAN didn't have to brag.
And he told her that I knew what up between us.
Right! Like I know. I'm asking ppl on Y/A.

So is he really my Valentine and was all that his way to say he likes me? What about the real woman comment?

Look a little deeper. I guess a hug and the comment about the valentine could be sweet talk but if he actually likes you romantically there will be other clues. You must have noticed some secret smiles, eye contact, finding excuses to come see you and chat and if he can hug you i guess he may find excuses to touch you, you hand, arm etc.

Dunno about the real woman comment. Mayby he's hinting that you don't brag or need to ;), i'd take it as a compliment...he obviously likes you but the question is how much?

You have to do some detective work and as i said the clues will be there!

im guessing that he quickly explained but you are my valentine to quickly diffuse what could've been a really bad situation. just a guess because i wasn't there to hear his tone or see his facial expression.

the comment about a real woman not having to brag and standing up to her make it sound like he was impressed by your assertiveness, so you probably scored a few points there.

my advice is don't be too possessive cuz there isn't really much going on between you two..yet ;) just keep playin it cool and let him see the girl you really are and i hope it works out for ya!

Sighhhhhh...it sounds like he might be flirting a little with you but hard to tell for sure. Build up some REAL WOMAN nerve and ask him what he meant.

Sounds to me like he may be interested. Ask him out for coffee or something and see how it goes. Sometimes us women have to take the first plunge.

If he told someone else IN FRONT OF YOU that you "knew" what was up between y'all.........sounds like he is hoping that something WILL be UP between y'all.........ask him out or down to the cafeteria for some coffee.....
