We're going to Disneyland for our honeymoon, and are on a budget. We want to stay at the nicest and somewhat close (maybe walking distance) hotel possible with the best rates. Any ideas??

Go to the Super 8 on West Katella and tell them that "Barrett Tours" from Canada recomended you to them. I am a bus tour operator that spends thousands of dollars there yearly.

They are about a ten minute walk from Disneyland Maingate, have an outdoor pool and hottub, AMAZING front desk people who can help you plan to go anywhere in the area, and fantastic rates.

Oh ya, they even offer a free continental breakfast until 9am. Its only muffins and donuts, but what the heck.

Its not the ritz, but for the price you pay it is pretty darn good. I can almost guarantee there is not another hotel withen walking distance that can beat thier prices.

The Candy Cane Inn. It has nice rooms and isn't too expensive, plus it includes a complementary breakfast and a shuttle to Disneyland, which a lot of hotels don't have. It's within walking distance, but it's much easier to take the shuttle! It's my favorite place to stay near Disneyland, other than the Disney hotels. http://www.candycaneinn.net/
If you want a hotel that's really close in walking distance, try the Carousel Inn, which is right across the street from the park. I've never stayed there, but it looks nice. http://www.carouselinnandsuites.com/

We've stayed at the Anabella a couple times, just across the street from Disneyland. The rates are very good (see link) and the interior is nice, too. Within walking distance of the park, but you can buy the 1-day tram pass right there at the hotel for a couple bucks.

There's a Days Inn in Anaheim right across the street from Disneyland. It's no-frills but the rooms are nice and the rates are good. It's right behind a Denny's, which is handy because the Denny's is also very nice (very clean, good service, very good food, good prices). We've stayed there many times and were very pleased with the value.

lots of the inns by potential of Disneyland help you examine on your luggage early, then you certainly can flow to Disneyland. maximum even take it on your room for you. I particularly propose the Howard Johnson or candy Cane inn. in simple terms extra bang on your greenback.
