I met a guy through an ex of mine. He shouldnt' have gone for me because of the fact that he is friends with my ex but it happened and now we're kind of seeing each other. However, he's making it very difficult to get close to him. I want to date him exclusively, I want him to be my boyfriend. I thought the problem at first was that he didn't want my ex to find out that we were seeing each other. My ex did find out. Also, this guy told me that he does have trust issues with me. Right now I'm trying hard to get closer to him, but it seems that the relationship is very one-sided. I am always the one to ask him to hang out but he doesn't really call me or answer my calls. I would like to see him more. On one hand I want to be patient, but on the other hand I don't want to be played around with. I do want a relationship with him and I don't want to just keep seeing him without him being able to make any commitment.he told me he likes me but i dont sense it by his actions

Maybe he does like you yet afraid of what will your ex do when he finds out but much worse. So I suggest that you really have to deal with your ex first. By talking/letter. Who knows? Maybe he can help you get close to him.
