Is the IUD more effective when you first get it? Is it less effective when it's time to get it removed?

an IUD is effective immediately after it's put in, the same day. The only thing more effective then an IUD is permanant sterilization.

You "can" get pregnant as soon as the IUD is removed as well, there is no affect on fertility because an IUD doesn't stop ovulation it just stops implantation

It is effective immediately and it lasts for as long as it is in.
