You are correct , my friend. As a former Christian, I can tell you that it is all about fear. This fear is brought about by ignorance. Once one is told something is bad because it is different, it will be that way until it is corrected. This seems simple enough, but when you are told not to learn of it, it becomes evil. I think today's Christians need some BRAIN FOOD, get their minds active with a thirst for knowledge. Then they will respect how peaceful hindu religion really is at its core. I have studied hinduism a bit and all I can say is that it is like atheism, only with a law, or a philosophy.....thats it!!! Hinduism is a philosophy. Chistians shouls start treating Christianity as a philosophy, and not religion or reality

I understand you but I also grew up in NYC and I have never seen that, and I think you are greatly exaggerating one experience, which is dishonest. Even if a church did that, the good intentions of a church greatly outweigh the bad and though a Christian may believe that about your religion they will never treat you bad , it is just this high tension between speaking what is accurate and yet loving as best they know how to do in submission to God. I know this because if pressed to say something I might agree with thse statements but I would not want to intentionally hurt you and though I think that it would never affect or lessen the way I treat you. Besides that handing out tracts is not persecution, and what you say can be counted as unfair as well so you have become guilty of the same thing if you wish to be so severe. If you want to count their words against them and call handing out tracts persecution then you cannot blame them for calling your beliefs as they see them.I am a Christian and I have grown over the years and especially of late to see how our words can be hurtful and offensive though not intended to be, I have learned this because I do not like it when others say that to me and the bible says do unot others as you would have them do unto you. So while I believe we can correct one another or debate we ought to try to be very tender and kind towards one another even when we disagree, and your words are a reminder.

Those churches were wrong. You are right to believe in Jesus. All people will disappoint you - no one is perfect. All men seek God in one way or another. The religions of the world are a testimony to this. And, seeking good and love and purpose is common to all of these religions. It is not a matter of some religions being "wrong". What is important is seeking the Truth. Learn more about Jesus then decide.

Which Jesus do you believe in?
I am a Christian and I am not persecuting you. If you pose a question that has to do with Jesus, I will answer it if I am here. So chill, dude.
I have never been to New York, and I am not planning to go there either. It sounds like another one of those churches that try to convert EVERYBODY. I am not into that kind of disobedience to his word like they are.
God just doesn't want everyone.

I'm sorry but your question persecutes Chritians.
I'm a Christian and you're question stereotypes alot of different people.
I don't criticize another religion.
I have no reason to.
To say someone is wrong in their religion and refuse to believe that theirs could be wrong is being close minded.
What happens when you die?
there's always the possibilty that you or I have been wrong.
I would rather let people believe what they want to believe in than to discourage them from any religion at all.

So you would like to suppress freedom of speech, and forbid things which might offend another person?
I'm all for tact and manners.I don't think that that person's approach was the best way to witness. But,criticising a religion is not the same as 'persecuting' it.

For the same reason other religions persecute the Christian religion. People are just like that, and is what makes the world go round. Take it or leave it.

You don't need to believe in the people that preach His words. Your faith is to be in Jesus and not in man. As I understand it, Hindu's do not believe that salvation comes through the grace of God, by faith. Do you believe that the only way to forgiveness, salvation, eternal life is through Jesus Christ? This is what the Christian faith teaches. ...And they are correct.

This is their belief, that while everyone is a sinner, and all sinners will be punished by God, IF you believe in Jesus Christ(who was sent by Him to die for your sins)and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, then you will be saved from your sins(they will be forgiven), and you will not receive punishment, but have eternal life and peace. It is summed up in this: For God so loved the world that who so ever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. I hope that helped you.
