not as precise as Andy Z but being "smoked" means to do P.T. till you puke as a disciplinary action or to reinforce training.

a whole lot of push ups, mule kicks, wind sprints, running up and down stairs, around barracks, low crawling all over the place, whatever exercise the drill sgt can think up at the time, doing alot of sit ups and push ups 'roll right' or 'roll left' in dirt, mud, sand pit etc...

just think of the most unbearable amount of physical exercises thrown at you and when you think you are at your breaking point...that's when the drill sgt is just getting started.

i had a girl pee in her pants on our first day at basic cause she was scared to ask for permission to go use the latrine...

you go through it and think you made the worst mistake of your life at the end of the first day, but it gets easier as you figure out that all you have to do is pay attention to detail and be where you are supposed to be and in the right uniform. take charge and if you see someone slacking you can help them out or get smoked for their mistakes.

When I went through basic training at Ft Jackson, SC our drill sergeants loved us. That is, they loved to "smoke our asses" every time we screwed up.Getting smoked can mean doing pushups and flutter kicks until your arms and legs no longer seem attached to your body. From an administrative point of view, getting smoked can mean getting an Article 15, losing rank, or going to CCF ( I believe this stands for "Correctional Confinement Facility, but I'm not sure. Same thing as prison. We always referred to it as "Charlie's Chicken Farm"). So I hope this makes it a little clearer for you. Didn't your dad ever smoke your *** when you were growing up?
