Easy Pasta Alfredo
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup whipping cream
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 (19 ounce) package frozen cheese tortellini
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add cream and nutmeg; heat through but do not boil. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Cook tortellini according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large serving bowl. Add the cheese sauce and toss to coat. Serve immediately.

I melt 2 Tbsp butter with a big spoonful of jarred minced garlic and saute a bit. Then add 2 Tbsp flour and make a roux. Then a pint of cream. Bring to a simmer and wait until reduced and thickened, and then add 1 cup shredded Parmesan and whisk until melted.
You can also add sauteed mushrooms and chopped green onions to this.

try allrecipes.com...they have several different ways to make the same thing PLUS a whole bunch of other recipes in case u decide u want to make something else for a different day. choose the best one that suites u and the way u want to make it.
my advice: its good that ur making ur own cuz the Bertoli one that comes from a jar....isnt that great.
