What is there to do there? What's the best time of year to go? What don't you like about Savanna

Savannah is absolutely beautiful. There's not much to dislike. I agree that if you are "of age" that you should definitely visit River Street and go bar-hopping. Also, that is a great place for good dining during the lunch hour because the weather can be beautiful. I'm guessing the best time to visit is the Spring because the weather is not too hot. If you are looking at universities there's SCAD and there's AAU. Finally, the best thing to do would be to visit the beach.

there is a small hotel out on Tybee Island - on the beach -
had great rates - I think September had lower rates than October
and it was a hop skip and a jump back into town

The 'regular' restuarants are on the south side of Savannah
but you need to eat once on the riverfront - and
by the way - take the tour - eat lunch at the Pirate's Inn -
or whatever that is - it is one of the stops - and you can get off
the tour and get back on - all day long

Go to River Street! Get a phone book or go to the Welcome Center and look for brochures. The Greyhound station has info on where to go.
