My fiance and i want to get married next year. I want to get married on our anniversary date but it falls on a thursday. Every person I know has gooten married on a weekend...Do you think it is ok to get married any day of the week? Regardless of bachlor party or not. I am asking because i know bachlor bachlorette party is tradition and we live in vegas if we get married on a thursday the celebration would have to be on tuesday so we had a day of recovery....is that stupid to get married in the middle of the week or have i lost it?!?

Your bachelor party can be weeks before your wedding so that should have no bearing on anything.
I have conducted weddings on Monday afternoon. And I'm looking to perform a wedding next Thursday evening, so you can get married any day you wish.

In fact, for some reason there is an up-swing in Thursday evening weddings. I don't know why that is, yet. I'm only assuming that it's because it's much cheaper to get married on Thursday & then it also lets them have a long weekend.

I'll be in Vegas this weekend.

I don't think it is stupid.

The only problem you will mostly run into is your guest.

Your guest, depending who you invite and how many you want to attend, will need to take time off work/school and find sitters for animals/children during the weekday, which some people can be harder than weekends. Especially those who are traveling.

Some places could be less crowded and cheper due to most weddings are on weekends (Fri-sun, with Sat being the most along with holidays a week before, on the holiday and a week after).

Get an idea of what your guest can do and whether it fits with what idealy you want. If most of your guest find it hard, best to stick with a few days after the anniv on the following weekend.

if your guest is up for it, as for the moment as this is a year away, I would go for the day you truly want. Unless you still want it regaurdless if a small amount or a large amount attending.

I knew only a few people who got married during the week and they did not have any problems other then a few people who couldn't attend due to their schedule during the week. That was it pretty much with them.

Congratulations! I'm definitely having my wedding very non-conformist. My fiance was put in charge of the whole thing(we are getting married in his country and I'm not there yet). Well, he chose a Monday of all times. At first I was surprised but it's working out well because it's the day after Easter and is a holiday there as well. We booked a really nice castle/mansion that we could not have gotten if we did it on the weekend. All of our guests are more than happy to attend on that day and it will end early so they'll be able to go to work the following day. It's never stupid, it's your choice to get married when you want to. If anyone judges you, that's on them. Celebrate your love any day!

I think getting married during the week is perfectly fine! Whatever day is special to you, getting married on the weekend is not a traditional just easier for most people cause everyone has the weekend off... hope that helps! :) wish you the best
ps i have listed some web sites below for you and your bride.. getting married is sooo stressful and from one former bride to another they will totally help you both out...

Weekends book fast for weddings, with Saturday eveinging weddings being the most expensive. Having your wedding during the week will most likely cost you less as vendors are usually not booked (I'm not sure about Vegas though).

The biggest issue with having your wedding during the week is that it's inconvient for your guests and bridal party. If you're having a small wedding this may not be much of an issue.

We got married on a weekday, and had no problems with it.
We had a small wedding with only our closest family, so it wasn't much of an issue.

The thing you want to be aware of is that with a weekday wedding some people might have problems coming cause of work, school and such if you plan something big.

It's amazing to get married on a date that is special for the both of you. So if you could, I would.

I think you can get married any day of the week if you want. Whether it's on the weekend or not, that day of recovery will be on a weekday. Unless you get married on a Sunday. Good luck!

I think it's perfectly fine to get married on any day of the week. There's no rule saying that you have to get married on the weekend. Do whatever you and your fiance agree on. The day doesn't matter as long as you two are together.

Good Luck

Well if that's what you have your heart set on go for it. You just may be disappointed on how many people come or if you have a reception, it will be bare. You could have the parties on Tuesday, wedding on Thursday and a reception on Sat., a whole week of fun and festivities. Congrats and have a great time!

actually getting married during the week is a lot less expensive than getting married on the weekend, so i'd go for it!! just make sure you give everyone enough notice so they can get the day off of work.
