I'm in love with someone who is an aquarius (male). A stubborn, selfish, unpredictable jerk who is just as equally amazing as he is awful. I'm a Taurus (female), a very generous and accepting one. I dated John for 2.5 years, and have been broken up with him for over a year. I am still very much in love with him and can't seem to stop loving him. I have tried to cut him off, not because I want to, but because I think I have to. Though he does not want to be with me, he won't let me leave. He thinks we have an amazing connection, which we do. He thinks we have true unconditional love, but cannot be together, he wants to be friends. He doesnt understand I cant be just friends with someone I am in love with, and that I will never fall out of love at this rate. I'd much prefer be with him than fall out of love, but I don't think I have a choice. I've fought for too long, and he is not in love with me anymore, if he ever was. How do I get rid of him? How do I fall out of love? Depressed :[

You answered your own question. You can't get over him if he's still around, so you need to cut him off completely. Let him know that you need time to move on, whether that be another month or another year. If he really wants your friendship, then he should respect that, and you can be friends when you are ready. There are no rules when it comes to love, no way to make yourself fall out of love, and no timetable to how long it takes to move on. No matter what, you have to realize that there will always be a part of you that loves him, but eventually that's all it will be - just a part. I still love a couple of my exes, but I am not in love with them.
