seeing as how the exchange rate is so much in my favor(an american is 200x richer than a myanmar person), will i be considered a rich man there? like bill gates? i like fame. i also want to have cheap body massages.

I won't say you will be rich, but your purchasing power will be much higher there if you transfer all your USA dollars there assuming you have enough money in your bank account and is retired and what you have in USA will be a lot in Myanmar standards assume you do have sufficient money in your bank account. $50K USD is quite a lot to retire in Myanmar. But the more the merrier.

Well, you would by locals, but considering it's difficult for foreigners to purchase developments in Burma, it would be hard for you to find permanent housing. But the military rulers are probably far wealthier (the country dictator Than Shwe's daughter's wedding yielded USD$50 million for the family recently).

Well, things are cheaper, but citizens know that Americans have more money, so often people will raise the price when they tell you how much things cost. Even these prices however, are a lot more affordable than in America.
